In honor of Mother’s Day, we have highlighted some discounts that may help
you save some money on that card or gift for that most special person in our
life. We have reviewed these discounts recently, but thought it would be a good
idea to mention them again.
Cards and Gifts:
Factory Card and Party Outlets – Factory Card & Party Outlets offers
thousands of products to help you plan your party and celebrate your special
event. Many locations offer a discount every Wednesday. People 55 and older can
receive 10% off the purchase of most items in the store. Not all stores may
participate and the age requirement and discount amount can vary, so it is a
good idea to check on the store’s senior discount policy in advance.

Hallmark – Hallmark is national retailer of cards, gifts, ornaments,
and flowers. Many Hallmark stores also offer a senior discount. These stores are
typically franchised, so it is up to the individual store owners as to whether
they provide a discount or not. Most Hallmark stores will extend a 10% discount
on regularly priced items to seniors 55 and older. It is best to inquire in
advance about a particular store’s senior discount.

Longs Drug Stores – Longs Drugs Stores is a discount drug chain with
over 370 stores in 6 western states. Longs Drugs offers a 10% discount on all
Hallmark products, Longs Brand products and Longs One Hour Photo Processing
(which can include custom cards) to seniors 55 and older. Visit their web site

Rite Aid Drug Stores – Rite Aid is one of the nation’s largest drugstore
chains, operating more than 5,000 stores in 31 states and the District of Columbia.
Rite Aid provides 10% off Rite Aid brand products every day and 10% off most other
items every Tuesday to shoppers 60 and older. Visit their web site for details.
