Car Rental Savings
Date: March 21, 2008
Author: David Smidt, SeniorDiscounts
Since the beginning of this year, some of the car rental agencies have either dropped their senior discount programs or have changed their terms and conditions.
While most major car rental agencies still offer some form of senior or membership discount, a couple of agencies are now guaranteeing that the lowest rates can be found when booking through their web sites, claiming that their rates will already match any previous or current discounted rates. Car rental agencies are continually offering special offers and promotions, and although most guarantee they will provide you with the best deal available, it is always smart to compare the rates of the current special with those of the senior discount.
You should also compare rates among two or three different car rental agencies. Although many car rental agencies are now owned by the same parent company, the prices can vary by as much as 20%. Comparing prices has become much easier with their online reservation systems, as many car rental web sites will provide the final rental price with any associated discounts already applied.
If you can not locate their senior rates or senior discounts information on their web sites, you may have to have a promotional/coupon code to receive the discount. We have many of these codes listed in the search area on the SeniorDiscounts.com’s web site or you may have to call the company’s toll free number to receive the discount.
Below, we have highlighted some of the companies that provide senior discounts. You can see more details and other car rental discounts in the search area on the SeniorDiscounts.com’s web site.
