Retail Discounts Part 3

This is the last article in this year’s Retail Discounts Review. In our
first newsletter we analyzed discount amounts, age requirements and when and where one can find
discounts at retail chains. Last week’s newsletter continued with a list of the discount details
at many of the national and retail stores. This week we continue with a breakdown of the remaining
retail chains that offer discounts to seniors.

Pamida Discount Centers
Shoppers 55 and older can save 10% on most items during select discount days.
Contact you local Pamida store for dates and details.

Rite Aid
Members of Rite Aid’s Living More program receive 10% off cash purchases of
prescription drugs and additional discounts on certain items in the store. These additional
discounts include 10% on all Rite Aide products and all hearing aid batteries every day and
10% off most other products throughout the store every Tuesday. Rite Aid also has unadvertised
monthly specials throughout its stores for Living More members. The age requirement for the
Rite Aid Living More programs is 60 years of age and older and it is free to join.

Ross Dress for Less
Ross offers a discount of 10% to seniors 55 and older every Tuesday.
They request seniors ask a store associate for details.

Sally Beauty Supply
Some Sally Beauty Supply locations offer discounts for seniors, but be
sure to ask about the specific location’s participation, age requirement and discount as
they can and will vary. Most Sally Beauty Supply locations that offer a senior discount will
provide between 5% and 25% off non-sale items to seniors 55 and older.

Savers
Savers has a senior discount program available at many of its locations,
although not all participate. The discount is usually on Wednesdays and is good for 10% to 20%
off their used merchandise. The age requirement may also vary by store. Contact your local
store for details.

ShopKo
ShopKo offers a senior discount to individuals 55 and older. It is available
once a month, usually within the first week. Seniors receive a 15% discount on most items with
some exclusions.

Stage Stores
Stage operates Bealls, Palais Royal, Peebles and Stage locations. Bealls,
Palais Royal and Stage all provide people 50 and older with a 20% discount on all purchases
on the first Tuesday of every month with its Club 50 Plus. Peebles also provides a discounts
on the first Tuesday of every month but it is 15% and for shoppers 55 and older.

Stein Mart
Many of their locations have a senior day which is usually available one or
two times a month and most often falls on a Tuesday. On these senior days, seniors 55 and older
can receive 15% off the total the total purchase. Contact a local store for details.
