Hotel Discounts Part 2

In our previous article, we discussed some of the senior discounts offered by major hotel brands. This week we will continue with our look at a look at other hotel senior discounts.

At Motel 6 and Studio 6 locations in the US and Canada, guests 50 and older receive a 10% discount. Motel 6 allows children under 18 to stay for free and there is no additional charge for pets at either hotel.

Hyatt operates under the brand names Hyatt, Hyatt Regency, Grand Hyatt, and Park Hyatt and also has affiliations with Summerfield Suites, Hawthorn Suites and Amerisuites. Hyatt Hotels offers a substantial discount for seniors age 62 and over. They offer up to a 50% discount on standard rates at participating hotels and resorts in the United States and Canada.

Seniors 65 and older can save with the Summerfield Suites senior rate. The exact amounts of the discounts are not available and they recommend contacting a local Summerfield Suites for rate information. Both Hawthorn Suites and Amerisuites offer AARP members a discounted rate. This is rate is also not published and they recommend contacting the particular hotel for rate information.

Guests 55 and older and AARP members receive at least a 10% discount off regular hotel room rates. Many Best Western hotels will also offer mature guests little extras like late check-outs, complimentary hotel room upgrades and continental breakfasts.

La Quinta and La Quinta Inns and Suites hotels also operate Baymont Inn & Suites all of which offer a discount to seniors. La Quinta Inns and La Quinta Inns and Suites provide a savings up to 30% for people 55 and older or members of AARP. Baymont Inn & Suites offers 10% off to everyone 55 and older and 30% for members of AARP.

Carlson Hotel Group offers senior discounts at four of the chains it manages, Country Inn and Suites, Radisson, Park Inn and Park Plaza. Seniors 50 and older can save 10% at participating Country Inn and Suites hotels. Radisson offers senior guests 60 and older about a 10% discount, but the discount amount can vary by location. At both Park Inn and Park Plaza, customers 60 and older will save around 10%.
