Kathy tells us that Home Depot provides a 4% discount on all gift cards for $25 or more to AARP members.

SeniorDiscounts Card Program

SeniorDiscounts has offered our SeniorDiscounts Card program to our newsletter subscribers for the discounted rate of $19.95 since we first began. As of January 1, 2006, that rate will no longer be available, and will only be offered at its standard $24 rate.

There are a number of benefits for becoming a SeniorDiscounts Card member and now is the time to do so while the discount is still available.

Members are entitled to:
Our SeniorDiscounts Card - The SeniorDiscounts Card provides access to our member-only discounts. The Card can also be used as a form as identification to show other merchants you are entitled to their senior discounts
The SeniorDiscounts Guide Book - Members receive our 500+ page SeniorDiscounts Guide Book. The Guide Book references both our exclusive member-only discounts as well as our generally available discounts. Members will receive a new updated Guide Book every year.
Member Newsletters - Members also receive newsletters which will provide news and information about new discounts and programs that become available. Newsletters will also provide updated information on exclusive member-only discounts that can be printed and carried with the SeniorDiscounts Guide Book.

SeniorDiscounts Card now has over 3,400 discount locations associated with its member only discounts and we are adding new discounts every week. SeniorDiscounts regularly contacts new businesses, both local and national and invites them to join our program. We have recently mailed to over 1,000 restaurants across the nation and many new businesses are signing on. We are also working with many national retail stores, hotels, cruise lines and car rental agencies to provide more substantial discounts to our members.

SeniorDiscounts Card will also be adding low cost dental, vision, prescription, and chiropractic coverage for its members by the beginning of 2006. This coverage will include options for both insurance and discounted services.

We have provided some of the discounts available to our members in this week's Senior Treasure section. You can also visit the member's area of the SeniorDiscounts Card web site for a more detailed list of the member-only discount. Click here. Of course, the most updated list of discounts can always be found by searching our web site. Click here.

We are also offering a discounted rate for purchases of more than one membership. Current members of the SeniorDiscounts Card program can purchase additional memberships for friends and family for only $15.95. This is a great opportunity to buy your family and friends a membership for Christmas. If you are not already a member, you will first need to become a member at our newsletter special $19.95 rate. Simply register on our web site using the promotional code sdcard01 during check out and we will provide you with a special promotional code to access this great price. Current members will receive an e-mail that provides them with this special code.
