Thanksgiving Facts
From the US Census (2004)

263 million - The preliminary estimate of the number of turkeys raised in the United States.

805 million pounds- Total production of major pumpkin-producing states. Illinois, with a production of 326 million pounds, led the country.

1.6 billion pounds- The total weight of sweet potatoes produced in the United States. North Carolina (588 million pounds) produced more sweet potatoes than any other state.

658 million pounds- The U.S. cranberry production. Wisconsin leads all states in the production of cranberries, with 356 million pounds.
