Retail Discounts

It has been over a year since we last reviewed senior discounts available at national and regional retail stores throughout the US.

While many retail chains offer discounts to the over 50 crowd, the discounts are usually not advertised and it can be difficult to track them down. Here are some things to remember regarding senior discounts at retails chains:

Typically, senior discounts at retail stores will not be offered everyday. Usually, stores will offer a senior discount one day a week, most commonly on Mondays or Tuesdays.

Stores may not advertise their senior discounts on their web sites or in store, but will instead post their senior discount days in local papers or flyers.

While some chains may not offer senior discounts, their factory or outlet stores might. Many factory and outlet malls will have senior discount programs.

Below is a list of some retail chains that offer senior discounts. We do not have enough room to post them all, so look for details on other retail chains in upcoming newsletters.
