Flu Vaccinations For Your Community

SeniorDiscounts.com is always working to bring more discounts and savings opportunities to our readers and members. Because of a recent relationship with a leading flu shot immunization provider, SeniorDiscounts can help you bring flu vaccinations to your community.

Anyone, regardless of age, can receive a flu vaccination. People with the Medicare or other health insurance can receive this vaccination for free, while those without Medicare coverage or health insurance will pay $25.

The immunization provider SeniorDiscounts is working with has contracted with the three largest immunization companies in the U.S. While the immunization contractor has the ability to provide these services to local communities, it does not have the infrastructure to reach the grass roots level of the community and has sought out organizations like SeniorDiscounts to help reach a greater number of participants.

It is very easy to bring this service to your community. The provider just needs a location to stage the event. You can ask local religious centers, senior centers, grocery stores, fitness centers, and any organization that has a community of 250 or more customers or members if it would like to have a one-time event that would bring flu vaccinations to the community. This is a great service, requires very little participation and is completely free for the host provider. If the organization or business is interested, please provide us with the contact information, and SeniorDiscounts will pass it on to the immunization provider and it will then contact the facility.

There is little work for the host site to get involved. The immunization company will contact the host sites and provide them with marketing materials to post at their sites as well as coordinate the event schedule. The only request the immunization provider may have is for your host site to provide tables and chairs if it has access to them.

What if there are already facilities that provide vaccinations in my area? It is true that there are probably places people can go to receive flu vaccination. However, by providing additional host sites, you will make it easier and more convenient for everyone to get them by having more locations and creating more awareness.

To participate, simply contact any host site you may think is appropriate, (remember we are looking for those facilities that have 250+ members or customers including churches, senior centers, grocery stores, fitness centers, and any retailers.) If they are interested in participating, ask for the contact information for the internal representative they prefer to have as the point of contact for the immunization provider to coordinate the free event with. You can then send us the host site representative contact information and address to info@seniordiscounts.com, or call us at 800-372-7513, or fax to 773-880-1276.

Unfortunately, because we were introduced to this program only very recently, the deadline to get interested host sites listed for this year's vaccinations is SEPTEMBER 9th - THIS FRIDAY. We hope this helps you bring much needed flu vaccinations to your community.
