Discounts on your Movie Rentals

Most of us are aware of the age related savings available when attending a movie at a local theater. And those discounts are needed now, more than ever, with theater prices steadily increasing every year.

But if you are like millions of other Americans and enjoy watching a movie from the comfort of your own home or prefer to save money making your own movie snack, then this discount will certainly help.

At Hollywood Video, guests age 60 and older, receive an automatic 10% discount on all rentals. The discount is even good on other purchases made in any of their locations. That means you can save even if you would like to purchase one of their previously viewed movies. Better yet, the discount is good every day.

The discount should automatically be applied to your purchase when using your Hollywood Video movie card. The Hollywood web site states that if you are age 60 or older and not receiving the discount, they may not have your birth date entered into their computer system and you should ask a Guest Service Representative to set up the discount for you.

If you don't like going to the rental store, you may also want to try online movie rentals that are shipped directly to your home. Netflix and Blockbuster both have programs starting at $4.99 per month for one movie at a time that will ship DVD's directly to your home. If you are an avid movie watcher, this may be your best way to save money. Blockbuster will even allow you to exchange a mailed DVD for another within any of its stores.

Either way, there are now more choices for saving on your next favorite rental. So get comfortable in your favorite seat and enjoy the show from the comfort of your own home.
