Lorette, in North Conway, NH, lets us know that the Norm Thompson Outlet in her area provides a 10% discount every Tuesday to customers 60 and older.
Debbie and Mary, of Oakdale, CA and Tukwilla, WA reminds us that customers receive a 10% discount at KFC locations. Age requirement and discount amount may vary by location.

Coupon Web Sites
When looking for senior discounts, be careful not to overlook one of the oldest sources of savings - coupons. Though clipping your way through Sunday papers and mail circulars just to save 25 cents on a can of soup might not sound like an alluring prospect, many Internet sites offer meaningful discounts on everything from travel to electronics, as well as your favorite brand of chicken noodle soup.
Online coupon sites are all free, and their searchability makes it much easier for you to find the deals you're looking for. While coupon sites give you access to an array of savings opportunities, you should be wary of sites that require registration. Such sites can fill your inbox with a lot of junk mail. You should also be careful about signing up for the newsletters offered by most of these sites. While they sometimes give you valuable information, they may often feature items of limited interest or thinly veiled ads for their sponsors.

This
site provides coupons on various items found at local grocery stores. To print
the coupons, a special software must be downloaded to the computer. No registration
is required to gain access and local discounts are also available with a zip code
locator.

HotCoupons.com
Much
like the SeniorDiscounts.com web site, this site allows one to search for coupons
within a specific geographic region. Once you have entered a zip code, city or
state you will be given a choice of categories from which to choose from. Select
a category and you will be presented with a list of businesses in your area and
the coupons they offer.

Valpak.com
Many
of you may be familiar with the Valpak blue envelope you receive in the mail,
but did you know you can also find these coupons online? Valpak offers a list
of their available coupons on their web site to print them. Valpak also allows
you to search by geographic area and then by category to locate discounts.

and CouponCabin
For discounts on big ticket items, try your luck at these
sites. Both sites provide you with printable coupons for in-store purchases and
promotional codes for online sales. These sites cover thousands of retailers,
making it easy to save as much as 25% on non-sale purchases at retailers like
the Gap, Gateway Computers, or Overstock.com.

ThePromoCodes.com
If
you're ready to act fast, Coupon-Codes carries limited-time coupons and information
on sales at many retailers. The coupons on this site often expire quickly, but
checking back regularly can land you some great deals. The site also hosts several
forums where users can post bargains as well as detailing "the catch"
when an offer appears too good to be true.

CouponSurfer.com
At
CouponSurfer, you can find discounts arranged by category, geographic location
and even check their hot deals of the day. They list all sorts of coupons, from
pets and grocery, to small business and clothing. Registration is required.

Flamingoworld.com
If,
however, you want your coupons to come to you, Flamingo World lets you sign up
for email notification when particular retailers offer discounts. The site also
has user forums in addition to a section listing items that have recently been
marked down.
